Project Lifesaver; and the Local Charities I Support

I'm sharing my music to inspire donations for charities supporting Project Lifesaver, the premier locating service that helps keep vulnerable people safe. BAYSAR, in collaboration with local police, use Project Lifesaver for the safety of children in the Autism Spectrum and people with dementia who are at high risk of going missing. Join me in making a difference. For more information about BAYSAR and Project Lifesaver please visit our website.

The Charities in Need.

Your support matters! By donating to One Kids Place (who provide funding for children with autism who need Project Lifesaver), the Alzheimer Society (North Bay, Sudbury), or the Victorian Order of Nurses, you will directly support the families that need Project Lifesaver. Please mention Stan French and Project Lifesaver when you donate. All proceeds from my music royalties will also go to these worthy causes, creating a positive impact together.

'UNITY' is a concert march I wrote that premiered at Roy Thomson Hall in Toronto Nov 1, 1998. This demo was recorded by the Central Band of the Canadian Forces on Dec 6, 2000. The music symbolizes the ability of two cultures to coexist in harmony when based on the same foundation of values; as depicted when the first and third themes, that have the same chord structure, are played together in counterpoint. The full band score and all parts are available in PDF for you to print. Two versions are available. The original has a challenging range for 1st trumpet and 1st trombone after the key change. The high school version does not have the key change so the parts are within normal playing range.

"Catchy" "Funny" "I Love it!!!" Recorded by Stan French and the North Bay Boomers

Being a Boomer Ain't Bad is a whimsical song about the joys and challenges of being a retired boomer. The music video is available by clicking on the image above. In accordance with the aim of this website, the music video and the audio recording were produced entirely by volunteers and at zero cost. Everyone donated their time so the proceeds could go to charity without expenses.

UNITY (Concert March)

Royalties alone won't fill the need, so please donate.

WAR, The Moral Wounds is an anti-war song that I originally wrote in 1975 after the end of the Vietnam War. I wrote the lyrics after I heard media reports about the experiences of some Vietnam veterans. At the time I was a private pilot who aspired to become a military pilot, so I wrote the lyrics from the perspective of a combat pilot writing to his wife. Little did I know that years later I would be serving in the war in Afghanistan as a therapist and that I would be treating military members for Operational Stress Injuries, including moral injuries.

"Powerful" and "Haunting"

A timely anti-war song!

Donations to help Project Lifesaver in Areas not served by BAYSAR Air Search and Rescue

All charity begins at home, so I know you may want some options for your donations.

If you prefer not to donate to one of my preferred charities please find the Project Lifesaver agency nearest you by clicking the image above. Call the agency and ask how you could best help their Project Lifesaver program. The local Alzheimer Society or a charity that serves people in the Autism Spectrum are usually a good choice when the agency does not accept direct donations.
